I never thought this was possible.
On the 8th of February, my inbox pinged, and there it was — a message that changed everything:

A new email subscriber found my content with perplexity, an artificial intelligence tool.
Since then, he has become one of my best clients:
- He bought all of my courses
- He also became a paid recurring coaching client
- And he’s also someone who implements what I’m telling him to do (so he starts getting results)
In sum, he’s the perfect client. A diamond in a pile of rocks.
In total: $5,382.86 worth of products and services in just 6 months.
There are many ways that AI can help you get more clients.
Here’s the one that worked for me…
AI is a game-changer (and not the apocalypse)
AI is going to destroy 83 million jobs. The threat is real.
But if you ever dabbled around with AI, then you were probably showered with dissatisfaction and frustration.
It didn’t sound like you. It didn’t really reflect your ideas.
And that’s what most creators who piss on AI don’t understand.
Artificial intelligence is not here to replace your thinking; it’s here to create more authentic content in less time.
In a world where everything is saturated, there is one simple rule: publish more content.
Is it a race to the bottom? Maybe.
You could either adapt or whine. I chose to adapt.
I’ve chosen to create more content.
When you create more content, it means more chances to get seen.
And you can do this with only a few minutes a day and 20 bucks per month.
A ChatGPT or Claude subscription costs $20 a month.
It gives you access to the latest and best models out there.
I like to think of it as an assistant that can help me 24/7 without asking for a break.
Yes, you need to take some time to learn how to use it.
But people who don’t know how to use artificial intelligence are going to be the new illiterate of the 21st century.
Here’s how AI (really) works
When you hear about AI, most people think of a black box.
But what it’s really doing is learning from data that’s already out there on the internet. It’s trained on a massive amount of information — everything from:
- Books
- Blog posts
- Wikipedia
- News articles
- Social media updates
The AI looks at all this data, identifies patterns, and then uses those patterns to create something new.
(That’s why a lot of out-of-the-box AI-generated content is garbage… Simply because most content on the internet is garbage.)
AI can only work with what it’s been fed.
And that’s the opportunity.
There are constantly new things coming out in your industry.
And AI can’t connect the dots.
It needs a bridge to draw conclusions. And that bridge is your content and your ideas.
AI models like OpenAI’s are constantly searching the internet for data to learn from, and they do this using their own crawlers.
These crawlers are specialized tools that scan websites, gather information, and then use that data to help the AI understand and generate content.
The internet is a vast ocean, and these AI crawlers are like fishing nets. They’re scooping up data from all over the place, but they’re more likely to catch the things that are floating near the surface. If your content is buried deep, where it’s hard to find, the chances of it being discovered are slim.
But if you optimize your content and get it to rank higher in search results, you’re putting it right where the crawlers can find it.
So, what does this mean for you?
If you want your content to be part of what AI models like OpenAI learn from, you need to make sure your content is discoverable. And one of the most effective ways to do that is by showing up on search engines.
When your content is optimized for search engines, it’s not just visible to people — it’s also visible to AI crawlers. The more your content appears in search results, the more likely it is that these crawlers will pick it up and add it to the vast pool of data that AI models rely on.
This content strategy isn’t dead
Every creator should have an SEO strategy.
The reason is simple: it’s because it allows you to get traffic and leads on autopilot.
Perhaps you’ve been playing the SEO game, tweaking keywords, optimizing your site, and following every rule you’ve been told will help you rank higher.
But it’s easy to get discouraged.
Google’s updates seem to be a never-ending maze, and every time you think you’ve cracked the code, the rules change. It’s exhausting, and you’re left questioning whether all your hard work is even worth it.
The doubts creep in during those quiet moments when you’re staring at your website’s analytics like cold fingers tapping on your shoulder.
You see the numbers flatline, and you start to wonder if you’re wasting your time.
Maybe you’re thinking, “Am I too late? Is it even possible for someone like me to break through all this noise?”
Instead of just getting on Google’s first page, treat SEO as a way to also get discovered by AI crawlers.
By focusing on SEO and making sure your content is easy to find on search engines. You’re not just reaching a human audience — you’re also making sure that AI models have a chance to learn from what you’ve created.
It’s another layer of visibility that can help you stand out in an increasingly crowded digital landscape.
That’s exactly how my client discovered me.
If you actually look at Google, you’re going to find that I rank for a lot of different keywords that are related to building a second brain as a content creator.

So that’s where Perplexity pulled the data from. And that’s why it features a link to my website in the results. And this is also going to be deployed to other large language models like Gemini or SearchGPT.
How to seize this opportunity right now
1. Identify your core expertise
Start by pinpointing the areas where you have the deepest knowledge.
These should be topics you can talk about confidently and in detail. Focus on what you know best.
As an example, I help experts monetize their expertise with online content.
Which means I talk about:
- Blogging
- Course creation
- Email marketing
- etc.
This niche is overflowing with content. Totally jammed.
There’s no chance to snap top SEO rankings for generic posts about email marketing like “how to write subject lines” or “how to create an online course.”
So I’ve approached my niche from another angle, which is note-taking.
Almost all creators are note-takers, and most note-takers are completely disorganized.
It was also an underserved industry, so I jumped in with both feet.
2. Create a content cluster
Google rewards topical authority.
Instead of trying to talk about too many things at once, talk about one thing but go miles deep. Don’t scatter your energy like seeds in the wind. Build a tight cluster of content around your core expertise.
This means writing several in-depth articles that explore different aspects of the same topic.
Each piece should link to the others, creating a network of related content that signals to search engines that you are an authority in this area.
I also like to target long-tail keywords simply because it’s going to be way easier to rank rather than for keywords with a lot of competition.
3. Use AI to write faster
I use AI in my writing every day. This also includes my SEO posts.
In fact, many of my blog posts have been totally written with AI.
But the only thing I do differently than those who use AI like donkeys is that I prompt AI with my writing style and with my insights.
Which means that I didn’t just hit generate like a dumbass: “Please write me an article about X, Y, Z.”
No.
That brings you straight to the junk nobody wants to read.
I put time into thinking about the topic and coming up with insights. I give it a precise outline to follow. So I’ve done all the thinking and planning part upfront.
I just delegated the writing and used it as my ghostwriter.
And you know what?
I even sometimes rewrite sections by myself.
Shocking, I know.
I see AI as an assistant — an extension of my own hands.
Even if I sometimes rewrite a few things, AI still saves me shitloads of mental bandwidth.
Instead of being totally drained after writing an article, I can write 2 or 3 articles in a day.
This increase in output gives you more opportunities to get higher rankings and get discovered.
